Praia, Nov 24 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Regional Integration foresaw Monday that later this year programs on ECOWAS will begin to be broadcast on public radio and television to Cabo Verdeans “better know” about the community countries reality.
“We have already made contact with the chairman of the board of directors of Radio and Television of Cabo Verde, we are working on it together and we even have an idea about the title of the program ‘Falemos da CEDEAO’,” (Let’s talk about ECOWAS) said Rui Figueiredo Soares.
The Minister, who was speaking to the press after an audience with the President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, before traveling this Tuesday to Senegal and Nigeria, said that he would like the program to be a “good Christmas gift” for citizens originating from the West African Economic Development Community (ECOWAS) in the country, for the African integration policy and also “important” for the sub-region.
For Rui Figueiredo Soares, the program “Let’s talk about ECOWAS” can also be “very important”, because it will allow Cabo Verdeans to “better know the African reality”.
