Government wants a National Police “more vigilant, acting and pressing”

Praia, Nov 16 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Internal Affairs, Paulo Rocha, pointed out, in the City of Praia, that the country needs a National Police (PN) “more vigilant, acting and pressing” to improve the “quality and consistency” of the results.

In his speech commemorating the 151th anniversary of the National Police, which is celebrated on November 15, Paulo Rocha also pointed out that the Cabo Verdean police corporation still needs to be “intolerant” on indiscipline, lack of order and crime.

“The results exist and speak for themselves. The quality and consistency of them can and should improve”, stated the ruler, praising the PN’s employees performance for daily work.

In relation to the results achieved last year, Paulo Rocha considered it was “evident” the work held by the PN which contributed, “decisively” to the increase by more than 58 percent (%) in the number of arrest warrants out of flagrante delicto.
