Praia, Jun 9 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, said his Government is “strongly committed” to transforming the Water Mobilization Project for Agriculture into a “success story”.
The head of the Government made these considerations at the launch ceremony of the “Water Mobilization Project” attended by Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, who is visiting Cabo Verde.
“This is a challenge to win, so that our farmers are not always dependent on the risk of rain,” said the head of the Government, adding that alternative solutions are being created.
For the Prime Minister, it is a project that invests in resilience, that is, it makes the country increasingly able to adapt and solve the problem in the water sector. Correia e Silva stressed that this project has “verystrong implications” on the secular economy and adaptation to climate change, creating the “conditions for agriculture to play an important role in Cabo Verde”.
