Praia, April 20 (Inforpress) – The Government will demand strict compliance with routes and schedules established from CV Interilhas, the concessionaire of the public service of maritime passenger and cargo transport, in order to ensure quality services to citizens.
The executive provides these guarantees to the press during the signing of the addendum to the concession contract between the State of Cape Verde and CV Interilhas, revealing the existence of “a commitment from both sides to make the boats operational” for the operations.
The Minister of the Sea, Abraão Vicente, explained that for this purpose, the Government has already created a monitoring team that will make all the connections and sources, to be very close, aiming to create the “same guarantee of predictability that exists in the Mindelo/Porto Novo line in all lines”.
“The objective is to ensure the creation of a complementary modular system nationwide with the existing boats in the coming months. The concessionaire and the Government will be attentive to put new means into service for the lines, if necessary,” explained the government official.
