This act closes the event programming, whose central act took place on the 23rd, with a meeting of reflection, with the partners, on the path taken and the path the country must and should continue to follow to obtain the elimination certificate, he stated. Since February 2018 the country has not registered any autotypical cases of malaria, being currently in the certification process.
One of the requirements for obtaining this certificate, he said, is the country has been free for three years from this disease, something Cape Verde has already achieved, but an evaluation is still to be made by the international technicians from the World Health Organization.
