Praia, Nov 15 (Inforpress) – The Government is working to reduce the IUR rate on corporate entities from 25% to 22 percent focused at improving the business environment in Cabo Verde, said the Minister of Finance.
Olavo Correia, who was speaking at the signing ceremony of the “Direct Sale and Purchase” agreement of the FIC, SA shares by the Chambers of Commerce and Tourism of Cabo Verde, said that this was an “important” goal that the Government wants regarding the business environment in the country.
In addition to this proposal, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance of Minister mentioned an ambitious goal of the executive regarding the business environment, the creation of an ecosystem for financing small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as financing for large companies international level.
“We can change laws and regulations, but the biggest challenge has to do with changing attitudes of all, be it businessmen, private, institutions and government. Development is a matter of attitudes, not a matter of having more or less resources”, he said.
