Praia, Oct 20 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities, Luís Filipe Tavares, said Monday that the Government is providing a quality service to the emigrant community, pointing out they have already helped to legalize more than 20 thousand Cabo Verdeans.
The minister made these and other statements at a press conference, after a videoconference meeting under the theme “a comparative perspective of the diaspora’s history in host countries of Cabo Verdean”, within the framework of the celebrations of the National Culture and Communities Day, which is celebrated annually on October 18th.
According to the minister, during the videoconference two important aspects of what the Government is doing for the community abroad were discussed, emphasizing that the purpose is it to work to provide a “quality” service to emigration.
“Today the quality of services compared to 2016 when we arrived here at the Government is far better, today we make passports in good time,” he said, recalling that in a week, Cabo Verdeans have their passports available.
