Praia, Feb 16 (Inforpress) – The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Olavo Correia, highlighted the National Voluntary Report as a necessary mechanism for the country’s economic recovery, in addition to the importance for resource mobilization.
Olavo Correia made this statements during his speech at the presentation of the National Voluntary Report (VNR) 2021, which took place this Monday in Praia.
On the occasion, the official pointed out that in 2018 the first voluntary report was presented, and this year the second report will be presented in a special context, thus representing “a great responsibility” was took over before the nation and the entire international community.
As he highlighted, 2021 VNR is a transparency mechanism, an opportunity for wide communication at national and international level, regarding the consideration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the planning process and public policies.
“The 2021 VNR is part of a journey of knowledge production, planning, resource mobilization carried out jointly with the United Nations system”, he pointed out.
