Government gets 13.5 million euros from BNI Europe to compensate TACV workers


Praia, Oct 13 (Inforpress) – The Government has already been able to mobilize an amount of 13.5 million euros (about 1.5 billion escudos) from the International Business Bank (BNI – Europe) to compensate Cabo Verde Air Transport (TACV) workers.

The information was made shortly by the Minister of Finance Olavo Correia, who is in Washington to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), through a “post” posted on his Facebook.

“Within the framework of restructuring the Cabo Verde Air Transport (TACV), with a view to its privatization, the Government has just mobilized 13.5 million Euros to BNI Europe to compensate TACV workers.” wrote Olavo Correia.

The ruler stressed that in this way, the Government complies with the commitments made with the workers since the beginning of this restructuring process of the TACV.
