Government and United Nations System sign new UNDAF budgeted at 92 million dollar

Praia, Oct 16 (Inforpress) – The Government of Cabo Verde and the United Nations System today sign the new United Nations Development Cooperation Framework in Cabo Verde (UNDAF) 2018-2022, of 92 million dollar.

In a press release, UNS explains that after having been approved by the ONE UN Steering Committee in Cabo Verde last July, which was attended by national public entities, civil society organizations, the private sector and municipalities, this new Cooperation Framework (UNDAF) “reflects the commitment and the strong partnership” between the Government of Cabo Verde and the United Nations System in the country for the next five years.

“It is aligned with Agenda 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and strategic development priorities of Cabo Verde, defined and assumed in the Government Program and the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development (PEDS),” said the source.

This framework of partnership and cooperation, in agreement with the UNS, integrates within it the maxim of sustainable development of “leaving no one behind” in equitable and inclusive development.
