Praia, Mar 10 (Inforpress) – The executive manager of the Cabo Verdean Press Agency said on Tuesday the donation from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China will contribute to making the agency a reference in Africa and the sub-region.
Jacqueline Carvalho made these considerations to Inforpress and RCV, on the sidelines of computer equipment reception purchased by the company with the amount of 2.941.176 escudos granted by the Chinese Embassy, as part of the company’s technological modernization project.
According to the manager, these equipment will strengthen the capacity of news production in the most diverse formats Inforpress has been advocating nowadays, such as audio and video, in addition to the usual texts.
In addition to strengthening capacity, she stressed, this donation will help them to build a reference agency, not only in the country, but also in the sub-region.
“It will contribute to building this more modern agency we are advocating that can become a benchmark in Africa and the sub-region, to facilitate access to news from all over the national territory, at the right time, in the right format, on the right platform, in the quality and diversity of journalistic products,” she said.
