From now on, cultural activities with capacity for 100 people require DNS authorization – Government

Praia, Oct 16 (Inforpress) – The Government approved and clarified the law related to the rules for the lack of definition in the cultural sector, establishing that, as of October 1st, all events with a maximum capacity of 100 people require authorization by the National Health Directorate (DNS).

The decision, which left the meeting of the Council of Ministers and revealed this Thursday in a press conference by the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente, who also presented the draft resolution proposal that establishes a set of measures to be adopted through cultural spaces, aiming at the gradual resumption of labour and economic activities linked to the cultural sector.

According to the law of July 18, there is a survey schedule to be applied in Santiago Island, because the other islands had already been surveyed, in light of which from the October 1 there would be a lack of definition of public events with crowds of people in open or closed spaces, regardless of their nature, including cinemas and theaters and shows.

However, due to the health situation in Santiago Island, it was decided to pass a resolution establishing a set of measures for the gradual resumption of labour and economic activities linked to the culture sector.
