Founder of the WebSummit Paddy Cosgrave visits Cabo Verde at the invitation of the Prime Minister

Praia, Feb 7 (Inforpress) – Irish entrepreneur and founder of the Web Summit, Paddy Cosgrave, will be in Cabo Verde from February 10th for a three-day visit at the invitation of the Prime Minister, José Ulisses Correia e Silva.

In addition to participating in the CV Next, which will take place on the 12th, in Sal Island, as a special guest, Paddy Cosgrave, considered one of the most influential names in the world in relation to technology, will visit the Technological Park of Cabo Verde and will participate in meeting with national entrepreneurs.

The government explains that this visit is in line with the executive’s vision of attracting individuals from the ICT world to the national territory in order to give young Cabo Verdean talents the opportunity to relate directly with the “game changers” of the technological world.

“We want Paddy Cosgrave to come and see what we are doing in Cabo Verde, to come and meet our technology-based entrepreneurs and our ambition to be a country that can provide technology services for the entire African continent,” says a note which mentions the Secretary of State for Innovation, Pedro Lopes.

“The boldness is to build a Cabo Verde Digital that wants to build bridges between continents and wants to attract talents and companies so that, together with young Cabo Verdeans, they can generate ideas and implement solutions for the future, in the present”, he adds.
