Praia, July 13 (Inforpress) – The former president of the PAICV (opposition party) José Maria Neves appealed Wednesday to his party peers, through a post he posted in his personal Facebook account, to “debate ideas and not people.”
“As long as we continue to discuss people, no matter who they are or whoever they are, we will be contributing to the destruction of the PAICV,” said the former leader of the Cabo Verdean Independence Party (PAICV).
For José Maria Neves, Cabo Verde is in “a serious moments” and needs a “strong, dialogic, sensitive and effective” Government, as he says, needs a “strong, cohesive and effective PAICV in the Democratic Opposition.”
In his message to his peers from Portugal, where he pursued doctoral studies, José Maria Neves did not want to “point the finger at anyone”, but acknowledged that the PAICV is experiencing “troubled and serious moments” that can lead to “political marginality”.
