Mindelo, Nov 6 (Inforpress) – The young footballer Kleiton Mendonça from Calheta, considered the best player of the U-17 Cabo Verde, who is in Portugal in tests in the young layers of FC Porto, did not please blue and white coaches.
Inforpress learned today from a source close to the Portuguese club that, after ten days of testing, the businessman Joao José Cardoso da Silva (Jota), by the hands of which Kleiton Mendonça arrived at the Portuguese club, received the communication from the football department of FC Porto’s team that at the moment the club was not interested in the young footballer.
The 17 year old was among Rui Águas’ squad for the two qualifying games for the CAN’2019, with his compatriot from Tanzania, but did not debut.
This fact leaves the player free to represent any other team, because he has not yet played any official game for Cabo Verde, although he has already been called up.
