Praia, Apr 12 (Inforpress) – Várzea Stadium opens a quadrangular women’s football tournament this Saturday, involving the best teams in the capital’s category, with the aim of raising funds for the Mozambican people, victims of Cyclone Idai.
Promoted by the Black Panthers Youth Association, in partnership with the Football Regional Association of South Santiago (ARFSS), the tournament will count on the participation of the women teams of Seven Stars, Vila Nova, EFA Cristo and Black Panthers Youth Association.
Under the theme “Help us to help the Mozambican people”, the quadrangular tournament, according to the organization, will be open on Saturday between the Seven Stars and Vila Nova, starting at 2:00 p.m., followed by Black Panthers – EFA Cristo at 4:00 p.m.
The final is played on Sunday afternoon, 14th, before qualifying game for third place.
The entry for this women’s tournament is $100 and the income go to victims of Cyclone idai, which has killed more than 500 people, displaced thousands of people and destroyed a large part of Beira, the second largest city in Mozambique.
