Praia, Oct 12 (Inforpress) – The former president of the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF), Mario Semedo, announced today his candidacy for the Federation’s leadership in the extraordinary elections scheduled for 28th of this month.
At a press conference this morning at the Vavá Duarte Sports Pavilion in Praia City, Mário Semedo assured that he had “unconditional support” from six of the 11 regional associations, reason he is confident in his team’s victory to manage the next four years.
Mário Semedo even said that nothing will condition or stop his team candidacy.
He considers that for all he has done, together with his team, to make the FCF a “credible institution” at national and international level, and for the “sense of responsibility and condition of a sports official and public intervention” he has a duty to safeguard and defend the name of the institution which, in his view, helped a lot to build.
