Praia, Nov 19 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean international Stopira reacted to criticism made to the national team after the draws with Rwanda, in matches of the third and fourth group F qualifying for CAN 2021, saying that “the dream is still alive”.
“Nothing has changed, our dream is still alive. You can criticize at ease (…) everyone who is criticizing is the same person who will celebrate our qualification in March ”, the player wrote in Creole on his Facebook page.
The left back of the national team admitted, however, that Cabo Verde “could and should have done better”, because, in the set of the two games, it deserved more points, but “football is this, it does not always win the best team”.
According to Stopira, who named some fans as “marble players”, many “sofa players” want to talk about football, stressing that “if they don’t want to help, don’t get in the way”.
