Praia Jul 15 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean international footballer Djaniny Semedo has terminated his contract with Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, the Soccerpromaster agency, representing the player, said Tuesday.
The same source explained that the reason for the termination has to do with overdue wages and this fact has already been communicated to FIFA, the governing body of world football. He adds that Djaniny Semedo is already a free player and can negotiate with any other club.
In 2018, the athlete from Santa Cruz, countryside of Santiago Island, switched to Santos Laguna, from Mexico, where he scored 53 goals in 157 games for the Middle East. In the two seasons he was with Al Ahli, Djaniny Semedo played 59 games and scored 33 goals.
Trained in the Scorpions (Santa Cruz), Djaniny played in Benfica, although he never played in team A, having also represented Nacional da Madeira, União de Leiria and Olhanense.
