São Filipe, Dec 2 (Inforpress) – The Association for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Resources, Vitó Project, participates from December 5 to 11, in a regional workshop on the conservation of sea turtles, held in Guinea-Bissau.
This non-governmental organization will be represented in the workshop at the highest level, through the chairman of the board of directors, Paulo Pina, and the executive director, Herculano Dinis.
The Executive Director said the main objective of this workshop, organised by the Guinea-Bissau Institute for Biodiversity of Protected Areas (IBAP), is to reflect on all turtle conservation work at West Africa level, establish new partnerships, strengthen collaboration and make a little forward-looking.
In addition to the Vitó Project, Cabo Verde will participate in this event with five other non-governmental organizations linked to the turtle protection area, such as Lantuna, Biodiversity Project, BiosCV, Tartaruga Foundation and Maio Biodiversity Foundation.
