São Filipe, Mar 11 (Inforpress) – The Vitó Association Project coordinates the production of a documentary on the conservation of seabirds in Cabo Verde, coordinated by Herculano Dinis, which will focus on all species of seabirds of Cabo Verde.
According to the Project Vitó coordinator, Herculano Dinis, it is a work carried out in collaboration with another non-governmental organizations working in the environment sector, such as Biosfera and Lantuna.
A team of three professionals is filming for the production of a 45-minute documentary that will be shown on television in Cabo Verde and other countries, said Professor of Zoology at the University of Barcelona, Jacob Gonzalez Solis, stressing the team has already visited the Baia de Inferno (Santiago), worked in the island of Fogo in monitoring gongon’s nests, having then moved to the Islet of Cima, where for two days he carried out the field work.
The team, which was in Brava island, should travel next week to the island of Boa Vista, as the documentary covers all the breeding sites of seabirds to show the eight species of seabirds are breeding in Cabo Verde, five of which are endemic.
