São Filipe, Jan 7 (Inforpress) – The municipality of Santa Catarina do Fogo was provided with a new ambulance, equipped and prepared for the reality of the municipality, aiming at improving the provision of quality health services.
The vehicle is already in the city of Cova Figueira was financed by the Government, through the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism, whose manager, two years ago, had promised this equipment prepared for tourism in the municipality of Santa Catarina, with prominence to Chã das Caldeiras, the main tourist spot in Santa Catarina and the island.
For the local authorities of Santa Catarina, the arrival of the ambulance is the fulfillment of a dream the society has longed for and will provide improvements in the quality of the provision of health services to both the local population and tourists, through patient transfers, care first aid, with greater safety and comfort, since the ambulance is equipped with stretchers, wheelchairs, air conditioning, oxygen equipment, among others.
The mayor, Alberto Nunes said that the ambulance was made available to Chã das Caldeiras, but will stay at the Health Center for the transportation of patients, and will serve for the tourist security of Chã das Caldeiras, whenever necessary, since it is adapted to guarantee safe tourism.
