Fogo: Regional Hospital opens today the otolaryngology ambulatory service – Director

São Filipe, Nov 9 (Inforpress) – The space where the otorhinolaryngology service works at the São Francisco de Assis regional hospital in Fogo Island is opened today after the installation of the materials and equipment donated by the late Italian specialist.

The director of the São Francisco de Assis regional hospital, Evandro Monteiro, told Inforpress that today’s event, in addition to marking the opening of the “very well equipped otorhinolaryngology space”, also aims to pay tribute to the specialist who donated the equipment, thus the health structure now provides service in the otorhinolaryngology area.

According to the same source, the space is equipped with an audiometer (an audiometric room) and with all the surgical tools, the hospital now have the conditions to provide a quality service and therefore, as a form of recognition, will provide a tribute and thanks to the donor.

On the other hand, since last Monday, 5th, and within the framework of the partnerships that the hospital has with international doctors and associations, namely from Italy, there are two Italian specialists on the island, a gastroenterologist / endoscopy and an otorhinolaryngologist to support the hospital in the respective areas of specialties with patient care, and will attend the ceremony to honor the Italian specialist who donated the otorhinolaryngology equipment.
