São Filipe, Nov 8 (Inforpress) – The first water desalination module for the exclusive supply of the fishing community of Furna (Brava) arrives on that island until December 10 and starts operating before the end of the year, announced Águabrava.
The manager / delegate of Intermunicipal Water Company (Águabrava), José Rodrigues, who this week traveled to Brava Island together with the French Development Agency staff (AFD), which finances the project, said the company has already identified the place where a pavilion will be built for the installation of the container / desalination module, whose execution is the responsibility of the company.
The desalinator arrives on Brava Island “by December 10” and will be installed “immediately” and has a capacity for daily production ranging from 20 cubic meters, with only solar energy, and 60 cubic meters of water if conventional energy is used. The water is destined exclusively to the Furna community, whose need, at the moment, does not exceed 20 cubic meters / day of water that will be raised to the existing reservoir, with capacity for 60 cubic meters and then made available by gravity to the population.
