São Filipe, Jan 12 (Inforpress) – The cultural agents from Fogo Island will join the national demonstration to “pressure” the authorities and demand a solution for culture sector paralyzed about a year ago following the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Fogo Island, the meeting will take place, at 3 pm, in the 4 de Setembro square, in front of the Town Hall building, according to Ixo Gonçalves, a member of the organization, where they will remain for a period of one hour and a half, following a walk through the main neighborhoods of the city and passing through Cobom, III Congresso, Santa Filomena and ending at Cruz dos Passos square.
He said that the request for authorization to carry out the peaceful demonstration had already been submitted to the City Hall of São Filipe and to the Regional Command of the National Police (PN), stressing that all people connected to the sector were invited to participate in this event, wearing black t-shirts as a sign of mourning since the organization of the demonstration at national level takes place under the motto “nu cré trabadja, cultura sta de luto” (we want to work, the culture is mourning).
The demonstration, in favor to right to work of people linked to culture, is a solidarity with the class has contributed a lot to the promotion of the country.
