São Filipe, Jul 21 (Inforpress) – The construction of a fishing pier in the seaside resort of Salinas, the second most important fishing port of the municipality of São Filipe, is not on the agenda at this time.
The Minister of the Marine, Paulo Veiga, when asked about this possibility said it is not on schedule the construction of a fishing pier in the seaside resort of Salinas, but stressed the construction of the fishing pier in Mosteiros which is on the agenda.
The construction of fishing pier in the Mosteiros, according to the him, is justified even by reasons of resilience to climate change and will be an alternative to the fishing pier of São Filipe, stressing that in relation to Salinas it can, in partnership with the City Hall, study this possibility and seek funding for the future.
For this port of landing of Salinas, North of São Filipe, the bet is on the drag and there is a technical work that will have to be done. Paulo Veiga defended the need to carry out a study during the period when the ocean is rough to realize what kind of drag to resist the weather of the ocean, because, what was built did not resist, he explained.
