São Filipe, April 7 (Inforpress) – Four agreements of decentralized cooperation will be celebrated between the 25th and 28th of this month, between the islands of Fogo (Cape Verde) and Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and between municipalities of the two islands.
The conclusion of the agreements is one of the mains point of the delegation visit from the Lanzarote Island of to the Fogo Island, from 25 to 28 April, and the events are to be witnessed by the Prime Minister of Cabo Verde, Ulisses Correia e Silva.
Alberto Nunes, mayor of Santa Catarina do Fogo, said that the agreements, of municipal scope, will be signed at the headquarters of the respective municipalities and the agreements between the Fogo Island and Lanzarote will be celebrated in the city of Sao Filipe, on April 27.
Nunes said that the cooperation areas between municipalities are being prepared, but in regard to agreements between the islands of Lanzarote and Fogo, which is almost ready, it covers institutional relations, sending technical teams, exchanges between students, especially those linked to areas of volcanology, among others.
