Praia, Jun 16 (Inforpress) – The flight connection project between Cabo Verde and Angola may have news in the second half of this year, the parliamentary leader of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), Virgílio Fontes Pereira, announced today in Praia.
The announcement was made in statements to journalists, leaving a courtesy visit to his Cabo Verdean counterpart of the African Party of Independence of Cabo Verde (PAICV), João Baptista Pereira.
“We have, from the MPLA’s parliamentary group, we have every interest that this flight connection project between Angola and Cape Verde move forward”, stressed the MP, who to reach the archipelago had to make a stopover in Lisbon (Portugal). “Therefore, for our part we will push for this project to come to fruition,” he said.
Regarding the meeting with his Cabo Verdean counterpart he said that the two parliamentary groups have to follow the dynamics of “brotherhood” between Cabo Verde and Angola, stating that this meeting served to deal with political projects to be implemented “safely”.
