Praia, Jul 14 (Inforpress) – The chairman of the board of directors of Cabo Verde Telecom does not rule out the possibility of a criminal hand in the fire at the company’s facilities, pointing in this connection to the company that has been target of various attacks.
João Domingos Correia was speaking this Monday in Praia, during a press conference to comment on the fire that broke out on Saturday, around 8 pm, at the company’s facilities and caused the shutdown of all telecommunications services nationwide.
“The causes of the fire are still unclear. We focus first on reestablishing communication and the causes will be handed over to the competent authorities, the National Civil Protection Service, the Judiciary Police, and there will be internal reports from the departments with responsibility,” he said.
The CVTelecom’s CEO, which did not rule out the “attack” hypothesis, stating that all scenarios are on the table, bearing in mind that the telecommunications company has been the target of vandalism in the countryside of Santiago and throughout the country.
