Praia, Jan 24 (Inforpress) – The fifth edition of the European Film Festival in Cabo Verde, which starts today in Praia, will feature two short films by the Cabo Verdean director Samira Vera Cruz and the Angolan director Mauro Pereira.
The event is promoted under the special partnership between the European Union and Cabo Verde, in partnership with the Ildo Lobo Culture Palace and the “Xalabas di Comunidadi” community tourism project.
It has several European cinema sessions, short films by young filmmakers who won the PALOP-TL 25 Years Short Film Competition, as well as short films by young people from the ‘Xalabas di Comunidadi’ project, both funded by the EU.
According to the program, the kick-off takes place at 5:00 pm, with projections of children’s films coming from Sweden, followed by the screening of the Spanish film “Live is easy with eyes closed” and two short films by the Cabo Verdean director Samira Vera-Cruz and the Angolan director Mauro Pereira.
