Praia, Dec 2 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF), Mário Semedo, is the only candidate for his own succession in the elective general assembly of the federative social bodies for the next four years, scheduled for next Saturday in this city.

The date of the event was agreed by the associations at a general meeting held in October, on a proposal from the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF) management for 4 December. At the same time they appointed the members to the electoral commission bodies and the Board of Appeal, as provided on the directives of the new regulations.

Manuel Conceição, who expressed his intention to run for the FCF’s highest office, threatens to challenge the electoral act, claiming that “manoeuvring and impartiality” of the FCF Secretary General and the teams linked to the Electoral Commission to make his candidacy unfeasible.
