Praia, Aug 21 (Inforpress) – Regional football associations will meet again on September 30 to elect the new leadership of the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF), which will replace Victor Osorio’s team dismissed on 19th at an extraordinary general meeting.
The management committee currently created, chaired by the president of the Regional Association of South Santiago, Mário Donay Avelino, will direct the FCF until the holding of the early elections.
Professor and journalist José Mário Correia is the first to place himself in the race for leadership of the highest body of the Cabo Verdean football.
In addition to José Mário Correia, other candidates for the post of FCF president are already mentioned, namely the current president of the Regional Association of South Santiago and current chairman of the management committee, Mário Donay Avelino, and Celestino Mascarenhas, both former candidates in the previous elections, and the former Director General of Sports, Gerson Melo.
