Praia, Sep 12 (Inforpress) – FAO will provide 38 million dollars to the country in the framework of the Country Programme (CPP) for the period 2023-2027 and is committed to working to ensure that more people have better access to safe, inclusive and equitable nutrition.
The CPP, referred to as a planning and programming instrument of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), reflects the agency’s strategy in actions aligned with Cabo Verde’s priorities
It contributes directly to the Second Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development (PEDS II), to the 2030 Agenda and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at national level.
It is also fully integrated into the framework of the United Nations’ co-operation with the country for the period 2023-2027 and aligned with the priorities of the FAO’s strategic framework for 2022-2031 at a global level, which are the Four Betters, namely Better Production, Better Nutrition, Better Environment and Better Life.
