Espargos, Jun 9 (Inforpress) – Entrepreneurs, through the Business Association of Cabo Verde, ask political measures of support and protection, such as lay-off and moratoriums, be confirmed “from now on” and until a real resumption of tourism.
Welcoming the arrival of vaccines in the country, which will allow a “gradual recovery” of tourism, the president of Cabo Verde Empresas, Andrea Benolli, on behalf of the associates justifies the request in order to ensure a “positive financial cycle” for companies, as he said.
“So that they are able to pay employees and debts in a way that is compatible with the payments of the services and products sold,” he explained.
To this extent, with more than 200 members of Cabo Verde Empresas calls for a dialogue between economic operators, the national banking system and the Government, since, as it has been founded, the recovery of the economy, in practice, without a gradual regulation of support policies, may lead companies to “non-compliance” with outstanding obligations.
