Praia, Oct 31 (Inforpress) – “Savings, a habit for success” is the theme of a conference held today by the Uni-CV School of Business and Governance (ENG) and the Financial Education Promotion Association (Profin) to mark the World Savings Day.
The event, which also counts on the partner of the Bank of Cabo Verde (BCV), aims, above all, to raise awareness among the participants about the importance of saving and to warn about the need to invest in financial education, as announced by the president of ENG, João Brito.
“Reflecting in relation to money, in order to guarantee a stable future for the students and for the whole population and thus contribute to the formation of a generation more aware of its possibilities and more able to take advantage of the opportunities that arise, is another purpose of this event”, he said.
João Brito recalls that a study conducted by the Bank of Cabo Verde in 2015 shows that the level of financial literacy in Cabo Verde is quite low.
