Energy transition: Cabo Verde already has 40 certified inspectors in renewable energy

Praia, May 24 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde already has a group of 40 inspectors certified in renewable energy, announced today the chairman of the board of directors of the Center for Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance (Cermi), Gilson Correia.

The announcement was made at the opening of the 3rd Meeting of the Technical Committee for the Certification of Competences in Sustainable Energy of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which runs until Friday, 26th, in the city of Praia.

“The inspectors were certified in Cabo Verde and the idea is to join ECOWAS in this certification project and extend it to other areas, namely designers, planners and installers”, he explained.

Regarding to the meeting, organised by the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CEREEC), he said that it is part of the promotion of renewable energy in Cabo Verde and in the sub-region through the certification of technicians in the sector of energy transition.
