Zé Luís Solidário Project donates container with hospital supplies to the Ministry of Family

Praia, April 3 (Inforpress) - The coordinator of the Zé Luís Solidário project said on Wednesday that the handover of a container of hospital equipment to the Ministry of Family represents "an important gesture of solidarity and commitment" from the diaspora towards social causes in the country.

According to Vera Rodrigues, speaking to Inforpress, the 40-foot container, which came from the United States of America and was sent by the project's mentor, is part of the celebrations for the initiative's sixth anniversary. 

“We are making this delivery with two objectives: to mark the project's six-year anniversary and to give a gift to the Cape Verdean community, contributing to the well-being of the population,” he explained.

The same source indicated that the container includes various hospital supplies, such as beds, wheelchairs, diapers, canes, mattresses, and operating room support equipment, with diapers being the most requested items.
