Praia, May 26 (Inforpress) – Writer Paulo Varela announced today the launch, for the end of June, of his new book entitled “Para Nunca Mais Ser Escravo – Textos, Poemas e Reflexões”, which marks seven years of the project that began in 2018.
In an interview with Inforpress, Paulo Varela stated that the project “To Never Be a Slave Again” was born with the purpose of promoting a deep reflection on individual and collective freedom, after the achievements of independence and democracy in Cabo Verde.
“We dream of the continued improvement of freedom, now focusing on the inner liberation of the individual himself,” he stated.
The project, which operates in various spheres, from childhood to politics, including culture, spirituality and the environment, challenges each citizen to take active responsibility in building their own freedom.
