Praia, Mar 24 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean national football team is holding an adaptation training session today at the 11 de Novembro Stadium in Luanda, where it will face its Angolan counterpart on Tuesday, in a match valid for the sixth round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

he Cape Verdean delegation arrived in Luanda on Friday on a charter flight from Cabo Verde Airlines, and since then the team has been holding training sessions, including the third preparation on Sunday, focused on strategy for the decisive clash.According to information from the Cape Verdean Football Federation, during training, defender Edilson Borges "Diney" suffered a collision with a teammate and had to leave early and the player is under evaluation by the medical department, since the impact was to the head.

Midfielder Ailson Tavares “Wilson”, 26, who plays for Felgueiras in Portugal, expressed his enthusiasm for his first call-up to the national team.
