Third edition of the ‘Empresa Excelência’ (Company Excellence) wants to double the number of certified companies and boost access to credit

Praia, 20 (Inforpress) – On Monday, in Praia, Empresa Excelência launched its third edition with the “ambitious” aim of attracting 500 applications and certifying at least 50 Cape Verdean companies.

Promoted by the consulting firm BTOC, the launch event was marked by a conference dedicated to access to business financing, highlighting how accounting rigor and transparency can open doors to better credit conditions with banks.

During the conference, which focused on the topic “How the ‘Company of Excellence’ initiative can accelerate access to finance for businesses”, BTOC’s manager, Carlos Graça, presented the certification mark as a strategic tool for strengthening the financial sector’s confidence in the local business community.

“From the moment the system gains trust and companies become transparent and well-governed, financiers have complete confidence and are much more willing, not only to finance projects, but above all to do so under more favorable conditions,” explained the official, emphasizing that good governance substantially reduces the risk perceived by banks.
