The President of the Republic classifies China as "one of the main partners" for the development of Cabo Verde

Praia, June 2 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic considers China to be one of Cabo Verde’s main development partners, making a “valuable contribution” to the country’s economic growth, social development and institutional strengthening.

In a recent exclusive interview with the Chinese news agency Xinhua in Praia, José Maria Neves stated that over the past 50 years, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China has contributed in “highly sensitive areas” to Cabo Verde’s development.

Reflecting on the evolution of bilateral relations, the Head of State said that China has “always been present” at crucial moments in Cabo Verde’s development.

“Cooperation with China has had a positive impact in areas such as education and training, health, agriculture, water resource development and infrastructure construction,” the President of the Republic acknowledged.
