Praia, Mar 24 (Inforpress) - Uni-Sénior de Cabo Verde, which was established three years ago, has excelled in improving the quality of life of people over 50, according to its president, who pointed to financial sustainability as the biggest challenge.

Crispina Gomes said this in an interview with Inforpress, as part of the celebrations for the third anniversary of the Cabo Verde Senior University (Uni-Sénior).

The president of this non-governmental and non-profit organisation, which is geared towards volunteer work, pointed out that they started with a small group of five to seven people, but have so far managed to attract around 200 members.

‘During these three years we can say that we have achieved what we set out to do, which is basically to contribute to improving the quality of life of people over 50,’ he said, assuring that they have always managed to offer a range of academic, leisure and citizenship activities.
