Praia, Aug 8 (Inforpress) – SOS Villages of Cabo Verde formalized today, in the Azores, a multilateral agreement with professional training institutions that provides for the granting of 22 full scholarships for young people participating in the organization's care program.
According to the national director of SOS Children's Villages in Cabo Verde, Ricardo Andrade, who is on Terceira Island, Azores, the agreement also includes the Consulate of Cabo Verde in the Azores.
He explained that the signing of this agreement is the result of a first mission carried out in April of this year to the Azores, which allowed for the establishment of contacts and the creation of new partnerships, with the support of the honorary consul of Cabo Verde on Terceira Island.
"From there, we were able to mobilize 21 scholarships, which could reach 24, for young people to begin professional training as early as September," he added, adding that the scholarships cover areas such as social action, health, pharmacy and technology, according to the interests of the participants.
