Praia, May 22 (Inforpress) – Today, the Coordination Unit of the National Qualifications System (US-CNQ) promoted, in Praia, the validation of 22 professional qualifications to respond to market needs in the areas of ICT, Metalworking, Personal Image and Social, Cultural and Community Services.
According to Amílcar Mendes, coordinator of the US-CNQ, these qualifications were prepared based on sectoral studies carried out in January, which identified skills gaps in the areas of Personal Image, Social, Cultural and Community Services, Metalworking and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
“It is very important not only to have knowledge, but also skill and attitude towards what you do”, stated Amílcar Mendes, in statements to the press, within the scope of the presentation of the 22 new professional qualifications.
He explained that after the studies had been carried out, a set of qualifications had been drawn up, which had now been presented to the Sectoral Councils for validation, before being approved by the Ministry and published in the Official Gazette.
