Mindelo, 09 Jun (Inforpress) - Today, the leader of the UCID group in the Municipal Assembly of São Vicente asked the Court of Auditors to give indications on the best practices in the management of the city council in order to clarify doubts about irregularities.
Anilton Andrade made this request at a press conference to preview the ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of São Vicente, which starts on Tuesday, where one of the points will be the assessment of the Management Accounts of the Municipal Executive Bodies for 2024, a document that, he revealed, the Cape Verdean Independent and Democratic Union (UCID) is not going to approve.
“After the management accounts have been deliberated on in an ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly, these accounts are also reviewed by the Court of Auditors. So, what we are asking the Court of Auditors is to give clear instructions to the municipal council about the transparency measures that these accounts should have”, he requested.
According to the politician, the UCID is not going to approve the management accounts because ‘they are full of intransparencies and irregularities’.
