Mindelo, Apr 10 (Inforpress) - The ship Praia d'Águada, which is currently at the Cabnave shipyard in Mindelo undergoing a ‘major intervention’, will be back in operation in May, announced the National Director for Maritime Policies.
Anísio Évora gave this assurance during a press conference this Wednesday in Mindelo to announce the government's intention to acquire a new ship, built from ground up.
According to the same source, the Praia d'Águada underwent ‘a major overhaul’ at the Cabnave shipyards and is currently in the final stages of remodelling.
‘The ship has been practically recovered and the only thing missing is the sea trials, which will be carried out in the next few days and very soon it will be allocated to the national fleet, to also make inter-island connections,’ he explained.
