São Vicente: PALOP Audiovisual Network will provide better understanding of the sector’s realities – organisation

Mindelo, 27 August (Inforpress) – The PALOP and Timor-Leste Audiovisual and Cinema Network is set to launch a new survey of professionals in the sector in September, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the sector’s current situation and strengthening collaboration.

The information was revealed to the press today in Mindelo by Emilia Wojciechowska, co-organiser of a meeting held with professionals from the island. 

According to the same source, the initiative involves Cabo Verde – also represented by Samira Vera Cruz – as well as organisations and associations from Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe.

According to the official, the network had already established a preliminary database of professionals in 2020, but now intends, with funding from the Camões Institute through the ProCultura Programme, to continue this work and expand the survey.

“We want to continue the mapping process and carry out more in-depth work,” said Emilia Wojciechowska, adding that the meeting in Mindelo also served to present the initiative to local professionals, gather suggestions and encourage participation.
