São Vicente: National Police Ready to Ensure Security During Christmas and Year-End Festivities

Mindelo, Dec 16 (Inforpress) – The National Police in São Vicente launched today the “Safe Christmas and New Year” security plan, involving several field operations and the entire command staff, totaling 241 officers.

The information was disclosed during a press conference by the command’s spokesperson, Elvis Leite, who explained that the plan includes preventive visibility actions, patrols, and traffic control to enhance the public’s sense of security during the festive season.

The objective, according to the same source, is to ensure that celebrations take place in an atmosphere of social peace.

In addition to monitoring nationals, the operation will also include control and inspection of foreign nationals through the international airport, Porto Grande, and Mindelo Marina.
