São Vicente: Fishmongers will be provided with a vehicle to transport fish to the new fish market

Mindelo, 17 September (Inforpress) – Fishmongers in São Vicente will have access to a vehicle equipped with refrigeration facilities to ensure the transport of fish products to the temporary relocation site whilst construction work on the new market is underway.

The information was disclosed to the press by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, Eveline Ramos, following a meeting with fishmongers, during which the issue of the fish market’s relocation and the conditions of access to fish products whilst the works are underway was discussed.

“Whilst work on the new market is under way, there will be a vehicle on hand to assist with transport to the resettlement site,” she explained.

The official also assured that the new space will have the capacity to accommodate all the fishmongers, adding that arrangements will be adjusted according to needs that arise during the process.
