São Vicente: Artists expect training to improve communication and promotion of their products

Mindelo, Feb 20 (Inforpress) – Artists from São Vicente say they expect that the two-day communication training promoted by the Ministry of Culture, which began today in Mindelo, will contribute to improving interaction with the public and the promotion of their products.

In statements to Inforpress, craftswoman Polibel Rodrigues said she had set “a high bar” regarding the training, believing that the trainer has all the tools to convey to artists knowledge about the communication of their products, namely how to present them on websites so that they are better perceived by clients.

“In some way it helps us update tools and adapt to new times, in which we have the Internet and social media, which are the greatest vehicle for promoting products,” she said, stressing that more effective communication translates into “increased sales and recognition of the quality of the work.”

In turn, theatre actress Milanka Vera-Cruz emphasized that improving communication in relation to the target audience is what really matters, especially nowadays, in an era of such comprehensive communication, in which artists must have the ability to objectify their type of communication in order to be swift, objective and accurate.
